The end of March saw what could prove to be an exciting development for Duluth, as the City Council unanimously voted for the formation of a public art's commission.

A total of 12 companies from Gwinnett County have made it into this year's UGA Alumni Associations 2013 Bulldog 100, including representatives from Duluth.

Mayor Nancy Harris has urged community leaders to get behind local Duluth businesses in a bid to attract more young professional visitors and residents to the city. Using her 2013 State of the City address, Mayor Harris addressed a gathered reception of over 250 local names.

From now through January 18, Duluth folks looking for a way to dispose of their 2012 Christmas tree are once again urged to take it to their nearest 'Bring One for the Chipper' location.

Today, December 1, will see the Duluth Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony take place on the Town Green, with Santa making his annual stop-off just for the event.

The City of Duluth has been voted as the most favored place for a small town concert, following a competition run by popular Atlanta radio station 97.1 The River.
